Peter Bancel did a PhD in experimental physics at the University of Pennsylvania, followed by a post-doctoral position at the IBM Watson Lab. He then moved to Paris where he worked for the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS) and at the Université de Nantes. In 2000, Peter spent three months at Princeton University exploring research into psychokinesis – “mind over matter” effects purported to link consciousness and physical phenomena. He has pursued research in this field (sometimes called parapsychology) ever since. Peter is associated with the Institut Métapsychique International in Paris, France, and a Research Fellow at the Institute of Noetic Science in California. A lifetime buddhist practitioner, he teaches classes in mindfulness at Founders Hall.
