We the People: Part II Thursday

We will review some of the key rights bestowed in the US Constitution such as freedom of speech, freedom of religion, the right to bear arms, and the right to due process and equal protection under the law.  And, observe how the application of those rights has changed over time.

The goal of our journey is not to develop a cadre of Consititutional scholars but to fulfill Thomas Jefferson’s famous challend ‘…a well-informed electorate is a prerequisite to democracy.’

In this semester, we will cover the Bill of Rights and other key amendments.

Participants mujst have taken We the People: Part 1 to join this course.
