History: Mayor La Guardia

Come join us as we head back to NYC and the five boroughs. We will be reading ‘The Napoleon of New York: Mayor Fiorello La Guardia,’ wrtitten by H. Paul Jeffers. It is an engaging biography of the colorful La Guardia. An editorial written in the New York Times stated, ‘He did not find us brick and leave us marble, but he rescued our parks and playgrounds, developed clinics, public markets, housing projects and airports. He did much of this in a continual uproar of controversy but he did it.’ Come on down and get your Brooklyn on. Class will not meet April 17. The book is available via the registration form for $37.
