Enthusiastic readers will use the Shared Inquiry method for a text-based discussion of ‘The Best American Short Stories of the Century,’ edited by John Updike. This anthology of more than fifty extraordinary stories includes selections by authors Raymond Carver, John Cheever, Joyce Carol Oates, Flannery O’Connor, Philip Roth, Eudora Welty and others. These short stories have endured the test of time. The book is available through the registration form for $19. Please note: If more are interested in participating than can be accommodated, Louise will repeat the same stories during Fall 2024 semester.
