We will have a one-hour ‘Stories and Highlights of the Museum’ guided tour, featuring standout pieces from the Whitney’s collections. There will be ample free time to explore the current exhibits, including ‘Jaune Quick-to See Smith: Memory Map,’ the first New York retrospective of Jaune Quick-to-See Smith (b1940, citizen of the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Nation), an overdue but timely look at the work of a groundbreaking artist. Lunch is on your own, with options at the museum or nearby Chelsea Market.
