We will have a guided tour of the ‘Modern Women’ exhibit, featuring female artists whose participation in the Abstract Expressionist movement contributed to the advance of modern art. At a time when social norms hindered professional advancement for most women, these artists expanded the conceptual scope and technical possibilities of what art could be. After the tour there will be time to explore the museum on your own. The fee includes admission and transportation. Lunch can be purchased in the museum cafe.
