Meditation for Daily Life
Meditation, or mindfulness-awareness practice, is a simple but potent way to connect to the goodness of life. Bringing mindfulness to daily life helps us relax with ourselves and be more available for others. Mindfulness offers a way to work with our mind that is clear-eyed, direct and gentle. It helps ground us when we find turmoil in the world, or are faced with the confusion of strong emotions. The class will cover the basics of meditation and will explore how to establish a daily practice. Readings include Pema Chodron’s book, ‘How to Meditate: A Practical Guide to Making Friends with Your Mind’ and other sources. The class is open to all. Beginners are welcome! Those who’ve already taken a Founders Hall meditation class are encouraged to join and deepen their practice. Books are available through the registration form for $15.
