In this class, we will explore the best methods of achieveing the brightest and most vibrant colors in drawings on black paper, as well as how certain types of colored pencils behave on different types of paper. Individual topics covered will include: choosing what to draw, composing a scene with intense light and dark shadows for strong contrast, adjustment of colors for a desired outcome, layering, values, etc.

This class is better suited for artists who have rudimentary experience with colored pencils but all skill levels are welcome.

A supplies list will be sent to all students. Class participants will be limited to 8.
