Drawing Basics with Karen
Working from life, using charcoal and India ink media, students will develop and perfect the ‘art of seeing.’ Spatial relationships, light and shadow, volume, and mark making will be explored to produce both representational and expressive drawings. Learning through experimentation and ‘play,’ participants will build skills as they discover their uniques marks as artists. Art historical references will help demonstrate technique and approach.
